Caught the bus out to Coyoacan to visit Frida's Casa Azul. We stopped at a little cafe once we got there and had some coffees, shared a slice of quiche, and an almond croissant. Spoke with an English woman who sat at our table who was also heading to Frida's.

Frida's house is bigger than I thought it would be, with a beautiful big walled garden. The house has two parts, an older part and a 'newer' one which was designed by Juan O'Gorman. The more I see about him, the more I like (murals, architecture). The O'Gorman section had beautiful large windows which would have been lovely to paint and draw by. The house was filled (well... with tourists.. but...) stuff; house things, art materials, paintings (some originals but a lot of replicas), drawings, furniture (including her bed with the mirror in the canopy, her easel and wheelchair, her other bed with butterflies on the canopy, the urn with her and Diego's ashes, lots of her jewellery, dresses/outfits...

We walked from there to Trotsky's house, via a coconut drink which was surprisingly nice.

Trostky's place was also lovely, with a big walled garden where he used to feed and play with his rabbits and chooks. The walls had turrets and reinforcements, as did many doors after the first assassination attempt which left bullet holes in the walls (only his son's foot was shot).

The house, after some museum stuff at the entrance with lots of photos, some atefacts etc, was beautifully preserved and interesting to look through.

As we were leaving, there was a 5.8 Earthquake which we felt only as a little dip in the ground, or perhaps a wobble from the fence we were leaning on.

We caught an uber to the conjoined studio houses that Juan O'Gorman designed for Diego and Frida which were awesome but unfortunately being rennovated, so we couldn't go inside. O'Gorman's house right next door had some of their artefacts and was itself an interesting, and had a similar design/style, and we got to look through that.

It started raining and we walked to catch a bus and we were quite wet by the time we got back to Roma Norte.

Got changed and went out for tacos. Best pastor I have had yet, and good, spicy sauces. Same yellow and blue place we went to on my first night here. I had a jamaica augua fresca too.
